Would you please describe how "Lists" are used and how they are useful? Not trolling, I do not understand what new useful function they have.
I'm a spreadsheet person and maybe its too obvious.

I assumed someone creates a List based on a given topic or person, and when others search that topic or person the List would appear in the search results. I made a List for Person A and have begun adding articles, books, videos by and about that person. It will be more exact than just a search, which often leaves out relevant results or includes irrelevant or very marginal things. (For instance, the mere mention of the person listed in a book.) It’s not very different than a Playlist in a music streaming app. Of course, if it doesn’t appear when a search is done then it has little value. Since there are both public and private options that seemed logical.

Thanks.
'Lists' may be in an unfinished implementation phase. On your account I can see what might be your list with about 60 items. But using search in another window did not bring them up with anything suggesting 'List' was involved. Unfortunately the IA has recently been having functionality issues and their search stopped showing any results for the same query after a refresh.
Testing in what may be an IA "beta" phase with no possible feedback has historically been a non-value action.
