if you right-click on the button VBR MP3 (lower right-hand corner of page) itself, you download all 4 parts of this book, or all 27 songs in this concert in a zip file.
Is that what you mean?

I would love to download say all songs from the 1920s for example how would I do that

That's a Jeff Kaplan question. I don't think it's doable unless you have a huge computer capacity, like college library quality.
There's this guy, who has several major bandleader compilations -- you'll have to click on the uploader's handle to see all his pages:

if you are comfortable in a unix environment you can use our command-line script. it is at https://github.com/jjjake/internetarchive. wget would also work.
