Possibly, one of the new AI-powered video enhancement products like Topaz Video AI will automatically correct contrast, but it won't work on my system so I haven't been able to try it.
So you have to cut the video into scenes, correct the variations manually as best you can, and then reassemble them. This is possible only if the difference occurs between scenes and there aren't a lot of scene changes. I have done it in a few cases, and it still requires a lot of labor.

I apologize for attaching this comment to an unrelated post, but I can't figure out a way to send a direct message or anything. Anyways thanks for all your hard work colorizing! I did notice an issue I was hoping you could correct - in your uploads of the 1949 Batman and Robin serial, Chapter 11 was uploaded twice! Chapter 12 is a duplicate of 11.
