The Paley Center for Media has a full broadcasting day from 26 February 1979 from the ABC station in Chicago.

Among the shows featured include local and network news, "The $20,000 Pyramid", "The Edge of Night", "Good Morning America", "Family Feud", coverage of the solar eclipse, and various others.

Commercials, promos, PSAs, and "news briefs" are intact.

I'd watch that.

I don't know how you can watch that, but here's the complete broadcasting day of a radio station (the day was 1939-09-21):

I found the Road of Life episode very interesting. What a shame that it is the only one that survived.

I listened to part of that several years ago, and thought it was very cool that a song from The Wizard of Oz was played. I should definitely listen to the full recording at some point. Thanks for bringing it up.

On the subject of full day recordings, a full broadcasting day by Sydney TV station ATN-7 exists from 1988, although only part of the recording has been digitised. That too I'd like to see somehow.
