Some news footage and news reports which aired locally in Canberra. I thought these clips were interesting, I hope other people find them interesting too. https://www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/bee-gees-canberra-1974 1974 footage of the Bee Gees arriving by plane, and then being interviewed. https://www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/canberras-greatest-hoax-1969 A report from 1969 about a hoax involving 1945 Jeeps being offered at a low price. https://www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/springboks-manuka-oval-1971 1971 footage from a controversial rugby match (see link for more info) https://www.nfsa.gov.au/collection/curated/canberra-day-parade-1978 1978 footage of a parade. Fun. https://www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/cyclists-protest-bike-paths 1974 news report of cyclists protesting for more cycle paths. Shot in colour, though Australian TV was still B&W at the time. https://www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/horror-highway-1974 1974 news report about the need to repair and upgrade badly deteriorated roads.
