septa and the transport workers union reached a tentative two-year agreement. nbc10's matt delucia is live in philadelphia at the septa stays in frankfurt. matt, yesterday was really the deadline for the septa union. >> that's right. both septa and the transport workers union stayed until after 11:00 last night harmering down that deal. what that means is that riders who take septa bus, trolley, and subway lines, they will not have to worry about getting a ride. we're talking more than 900,000 of those riders. a strike had been threatened by wtu president willie brown, since contract negotiations had been moving slowly for the past seven months. earlier this week you will recall both sides said they were very far apart on the negotiations, especially on pensions and now there is a deal just within the past few hours. it's not a five-year contract that was expected but two years. willie brown said there were too many issues to deal right now so this gives them time to, in his words, work all of that out. here's septa chairman pat talking about the bargaining lat
