[ scattered cheers ] hey, you guys, a canadian scientist was arrested for smuggling vials of ebola into the u.s. nd i'm telling you, this wouldn't happen if the government would just legalize ebola. [ light laughter ] you know? been saying this for years. barack obama said that his administration will not release the photographs of detainee abuse. not because they don't want to, but because they can't get the password for dick cheney's cameraphone. [ laughter ] they're working on that. then they'll -- [ applause ] that's the problem.

hey, congratulations to nbc's "today" show. they shoot it here in this building. it's the most popular morning show for 700 consecutive weeks. that's good for them, the "today" show. [ cheers and applause ] great. and want to offer my condolences to the least popular morning show, "morning breath with andy rooney." [ laughter ] that kind of makes it compulsory. in chicago, two seventh graders created a new iphone ap. that's amazing, first of all. two seventh graders created this new iphone ap called "math masters" which helps kids practice their multiplication tables. it's so simple. you just take the number of bullies you multiply it by the number of wedgies and then divide it by hours spent taking piano lessons. [ laughter ] so, we here at "late night," we decided to focus on the positives and help bring people together. which is why, from time to time, we like to do a segment called "shared experiences." ♪ ♪ sharing things with one another is a shared experience ♪ [ laughter ] >> jimmy: here is how it works. throughout the show the whole audience, plus the roots, higgins and me, as well as you at home, we're all gonna share a few experiences together. we're going to do the exact same thing at the exact same time. it's going to be awesome. are you guys ready? [ laughter ] and i was watching tv and all of a sudden my brain was like, "hey, are you awake?" "yeah?" "what do you want?" and my brain was like, "i know what you want. you want pumpkin bread."
