heart. >> grandmothers all over the world are like uh-huh i could have told you. >> yeah. >> but anyway,. >> here's the thing. you don't tell two women you love them and then ask one of them to marry you immediately. >> are you going to be able to do the weather. >> i'm very upset about the bachelor. >> i know. >> but we've got more going on with the weather. let's take a look right now at satellite and radar. you can see we've got clear skies out there currently but as you look to the west you can already see precipitation approaching and that's the first low that's going to be impacting us before it transfers this energy to a coastal low that will form our nor'easter. we start to see the precipitation late tonight and into tomorrow. let's look at these numbers as you're stepping out right now, though. it's only 23 this morning in reading, 25 in allentown, sitting below freezing across most of the region, 27 degrees in millville, at the freezing mark right now in cape may. the winds won't be as much of an issue today. we're starting it off with sunshine and it's cold once again. 29 degrees at 7:00 a.m. by lunchtime, still dry, 43

but you start to see the clouds increase. more so through the afternoon. you look at 3 o'clock, 5 o'clock and you see temps in the upper 40's and a lot of cloud cover through the region. even at 7 o'clock, some of the region is dry. the precipitation that starts is light at first. let's walk you through all this right now. the national weather service does have that winter storm warning for the area you see highlighted in pink here. it starts at 7 o'clock this evening and lasts through 3 a.m. on thursday. the area in blue is currently under a watch for lesser precipitation. here's the timeline of this happening. from 7 o'clock to 10 o'clock tonight, we start off with light rain, some wet snow north and west. your evening commute's okay, just a little bit of precipitation arriving at the end of it. tomorrow morning it's some light snow north and west and light rain south and east but it's late morning into the afternoon, especially through midday and afternoon where you get if the windy, heavy wet snow and that's really going to be the trouble for you. i'm going to show you what it looks like on future future tra6

and we'll talk totals in a few minutes, matt. >> you got through that remarkably well considering everything you're going through. >> with the "bachelor," yes. >> good morning, karen, good morning, everybody. we're not going through too much so far here along the schuylkill expressway. so far. they cleared out the eastbound construction here near 30th street. they are still blocking the on-ramp from 30th street to the eastbound side but these crews should pull away any minute. overnight construction on 95 has cleared and i think i'd use 95 instead of columbus boulevard and that big old lake in the northbound lanes kind of right under the ben franklin bridge to avoid. kelly drive still has a bunch of traffic lights that aren't working this morning and still a bunch of downed trees. there's one in germantown blocking rittenhouse street. couple along queen lane in east falls, so that a couple chunks that of remain closed and near chestnut hill bells mill road is still closed but at least germantown avenue has reopened. downed tree there is gone. a couple in northern delaware still blocking portions of creek road and centreville road as we kick things off on this tuesday morning, matt.

>> thank you, matt. the race is on for power crews to get the lights and the heat back on for thousands of people still without power. last week's nor'easter brought down trees and power lines and now the area as we all know now is bracing for a second nor'easter arriving later tonight. now, some people in montgomery and parts of delaware county have been without power since friday. peco crews were busy working along gypsy lane in upper merion where a massive tree came down on friday smashing an infiniti and taking the power lines with it. the action cam was also at the home depot in king of prussia last night where people were rushing to buy generators. peco continues to make progress on outages as of this morning, about 25,000 people are still without power, most of that em -- them in delaware and montgomery counties. this was the scene at high tide in north wildwood at second avenue and john f. kennedy beach drive. you can see the waves crashing

over the seawall and water flowing into the street at 11:00 last night. despite that spillover authorities tell us this is not causing any flooding issues in the area right now. >> it was a wild ride through the city's point breeze neighborhood. the driver of a semi truck tried to go under an overpass that was too low, didn't work, the top of his tractor-trailer almost came apart like it had been peeled off with a can opener. yet he kept going dragging that mess behind him for miles. "action news" reporter jeanette reyes is live at 21st and reed streets with more on how this unfolded and how many people are going to pay the price for his lack of thinking. good morning, jeanette. >> reporter: good morning, today. you got to wonder what in the world was going on inside of the cab of this truck that the driver went on for 3 miles with 50 feet worth of debris dragging behind the car. take a look at that. even the door was ripped off. that driver went across intersections through narrow roads as witnesses watched in shock and confusion.

this is incredible video shot by an "action news" viewer showing this truck as the driver traveled more than 3 miles with the entire roof dragging behind it. the loud sound of that metal scraping the asphalt waking up dozens of people in the process t police say this all started around 10 o'clock last night at 12th and callowhill streets where the driver crashed into this overpass which peeled off the roof of the semi trailer and ripped off the back door. now, the truck finally came to a stop at 21st and point breeze where the truck enforcement department fined the driver. no charges have been filed. it is unclear if the truck driver was that under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any substance at all. we have not yet seen that driver or have been able to get ahold of him. now, police are also looking along that 3-mile trek to see if any cars were damaged. of course you'd have to separate those who already have damage from those who sustained damage from this truck overnight last night but i'm sure we'll be seeing or

hearing those complaints as the morning progresses with some people heading off to work seeing their car a little different from what they left it last night. reporting live in point breeze, jeanette reyes, channel6 "action news." matt. >> thank you, jeanette. investigators say this man, 18-year-old nasir reed struck and killed a gas station attendant in mercer county, new jersey. the crash happened in the parking lot of a quick check in lawrence township last month. the attendant charles nevius was trying to stop a driver from fleeing after striking an suv in the parking lot. reed is charged with death by auto and leaving the scene of a deadly motor vehicle accident. >> bill cosby will be back in a montgomery county courthouse today for another pretrial hearing. the prosecution wants the judge to allow 19 women to testify that cosby drugged them assaulted them as is also contended by the woman at the heart of this case. however, cosby's lawyers will argue some of these allegations date back to the 1960's and will be impossible

to defend. jury selection begins on march 29. >> home of the flyers and sixers will be getting a quarter million dollar makeover. the renovations at the wells fargo center will start this summer and will focus on the mezzanine level. here's a look at what it was and what it will be. the well will have more open space with screens showing the game, menu boards, plus there will be more expansive food and beverage offerings. the renovation will also include brand new lounges, additional seating and a complete replacement of the arena's sound system. the $250 million makeover will be completed in three phases and will be finished by 2021. >> that actually looks really good. >> it's good 'cause those tickets are expensive so i want it to be pretty great when i go there. you would like the weather to be great today probably but you're not going to get it. let's take a look right now at storm tracker6 live double scan. we're dry through the area. looking pretty good right now. the morning commute no problem. staying dry until late this

evening into tonight. let's go on outside and see what it looks like. remember yesterday really seeing those flags whip in the wind right now. the wind is not quite as bad as yesterday but still breezy as we see them blowing around outside. let's check the conditions for you as you head out the door. it's 30 degrees right now. the dewpoint is 20, so pretty dry atmosphere. winds are out of the north at seven. the pressure is currently falling. the wind chill, what it feels like, just 23 degrees. it's another cold start to the day. satellite and radar a wider view showing we're dry and pretty clear right now. here you can see this large storm system. here's the area of low pressure that brought blizzard conditions to the midwest and you see that comma shape right here, as this low pulls near our area transfers its energy to another low that hasn't formed yet and that's going to give us the nor'easter. today we're watching the clouds increase ahead of the storm system so we start off with sunshine first part of the day, it's cold, 29 at 7:00 a.m. by 9:00 a.m., 35. no problems for the morning commute. the afternoon we'll see

increasing clouds but we're still dry. temperatures reach the upper 40's. even at 5 o'clock, if you're commuting early, you're dry, 46. by 7 o'clock, parts of our region will begin to see some light rain or light snow, 42, but even at 7 o'clock, it's not too much of an issue. there are really two time periods that we're watching with this for tomorrow. tomorrow's the impact of the nor'easter. in the morning you're going to see a mix and wet snow, rain south and east, a mix in the city, wet snow. allow some extra time. but by the end of the morning commute through the afternoon into the evening, that's when you're going to get that heavy wet snow and the gusty winds. so, the trouble is if you wake up tomorrow and think i can drive in this, it's not a big deal you got to think about getting home and that's why i really want to warn you about that. here's future tracker6 showing this at 9:30 tonight we see some snow arriving, still some rain south and east. we push this through until overnight and into tomorrow morning and you're still seeing some rain south of the city, a little mix in the city for the morning commute and

some snow north and west. then we advance this to later on in the afternoon and that's when you get that heavy wet snow that's dropping down on the kind that's quickly accumulating and kind of difficult to drive in. so, that's at 3:30 in the afternoon as some of the kids will be coming home or if they have school and the bus is coming home and getting ready for your evening commute. it happens all through your evening commute and then wraps up thursday night. overall what we're expecting, if you're along the coastline, not a whole lot. you saw how that precipitation was rain for much of south and east of the city, one to three. about three to 6 inches if you're in that atlantic city and millville, in southern burlington ocean, camden county, salem county, up to lancaster. and this general area of the pink, which is a wide area for much of philadelphia and north and west, even east near trenton, we're talking six to 12-inches of snow but there's going to be some spots where we have 16-inches of snow and i want to warn you about that. so, overall six to 12 in this area. i adjusted this map a little

bit because it's not that everybody is going to see 16-inches but some people are and so that's why you really have to be prepared for this heavy snow coming your way. here's your exclusive accuweather 7-day turning cloudy this afternoon, 47, light precipitation arrives this evening and tonight. and tomorrow it is kind of a mix in the morning but late morning into the evening hours, it's a heavy wet snow, windy, 37 degrees. thursday some sun returns, maybe you still have some leftover snow showers north and west of the city, you're try in the city on thursday. 42 degrees. friday brisk and chilly, 43. staying pretty cold through the seven day period. saturday mostly sunny, 46. you turn the clocks forward saturday night into sunday. sunday looks dry through the day but we're watching the coast to see if we get the development of another coastal storm, 46 for your high on sunday. and then on monday, some snow is possible, especially the early part of the day with this, 46 degrees. but we'll deal with that coastal storm after we get through with this one.

>> ♪ >> ♪ >> welcome back. taking a live look, always a beauty, the u.s.s. new jersey sitting there on the delaware as we look into the lights of camden. it is 5:16, 30 chilly degrees out there. >> all right, matt. so, this commute is not going to be so bad, right. >> this one won't be so bad. you know it's the sixth day of the month around here. six is lucky so we're thinking maybe a good day. just have to disregard that part later this evening when the precipitation arrives again. for this morning things are nice and dry here in delco along the blue route 476 at baltimore pike, the media swarthmore interchange but just out of view on the ramps, starting to see some issues with the traffic lights on those ramps connecting baltimore pike with the blue route. so you may find police there this morning directing the traffic on those ramps.

elsewhere in delco darby paoli road still blocked because of downed wires. i would stay over on 320 to get around that, 320 was partially blocked yesterday. it's back in business, everything reopened this morning. elsewhere on 476 northbound side of the northeast extension near lansdale, still have some construction there taking out the right lane and in whitpain township morris road is still blocked because of a drowned tree. skippack pike to the south can get you around that. at least orvilla road is reopened in towamencin. they finished cleaning up the and downed wires there. hilltown township there's still downed wires blocking diamond street. keystone drive or green street would be alternates around those. overnight construction at the triple b, burlington bristol bridge is cleared out of the way so you're good to go crossing the delaware river there between bucks and burlington counties, matt. >> thank you, matt. dramatic video shows the moment a five-year-old girl dangles from a chair lift at a california ski resort before falling onto a safety tarp below. the girl's parents say she

slipped from the chair lift on saturday morning when it started moving. the girl's ski instructor at bear mountain was able to grab her hoodie. the instructor held onto the little girl who became unconscious from being choked by her helmet and hoodie. the girl's father calls the instructor a hero for being able to keep the girl from being seriously injured and falling off the lift. the girl did have some bruising but is otherwise okay. >> three elderly day care workers face charges for how they got children to go down for nap time. they gave the children gummy bears laced with a sleep aid. she was given them candy containing melatonin before nap time to make them wind down. they told police they didn't think it was a problem since melatonin is available over the counter though usually it is marketed to adults. no children have sickened. >> take two. the sixers will take on the hornets tonight, this time in charlotte. the sixers defeated the hornets 110 to 99 in

precipitation by the evening and tonight. here's what we're comparing with our last nor'easter. the winds with this one will not be quite as strong, 40, 45 miles an hour in spots. the last storm we had up to 70. but nonetheless, we will have more of a snow impact. the heaviest will be about 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. tomorrow. additional power outages could certainly happen with the heavy snow and even gusty winds up to 40 miles an hour, so a lot to anticipate with this, tam. >> okay, thank you, karen. going on to health check even if your diet is generally healthy it may not be enough to overcome the damage of eating too much salt. a study out of london found that people who ate higher amounts of salt had higher blood pressure no matter how healthy that overall diet. they warned that people should keep a close eye on that salt intake while food manufacturers should try to lower the salt content in their prepackaged foods. >> 5:23. fans of the "bachelor" were shocked during the season
