right now at 11:00, a frosty night in parts of our area. you can feel the chill that moved in after the rain moved out. temperatures are staying below normal. a good night for extra covers. nbc 10 first alert meteorologist brittney shipp is here with a frost advisory. >> if you live close to the poconos that's where the frost advisory will be in effect until 8:00 a.m. we will see temperatures in the mid-30s and close to freezing. but philadelphia will be in the mid-40s. 46 degrees.

a cold night ahead. clear conditions for the shore. 48 degrees. and closer to the poconos, patchy frost is a possibility. bring your plants inside or cover them up. the wakeup temperatures show it will be a cold start to your sunday morning. 50 degrees for philadelphia by 8:00 a.m., low 40s in allentown. i'll let you know what to expect if you are tailgating. i'll have the eagles forecast coming up. new at 11:00, a three-car crash caused by an underaged driver. it happened in north philadelphia. witnesses told police that a young boy was behind the wheel when he hit a car and ram blood a parked car and nearly into an apartment building. chase senior lived in the building and heard the crash. >> the kid driving the car who got out of the driver's door had to be 10 to 13 years old and others got out of the passenger

side door and in the backseat. and i came down and realized that the maroon car that was hit was my roommate's. >> police are looking for the boy who ran from the scene. a woman inside the other car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. another underage driver in lehigh county. a 14-year-old is accused of stealing a car and causing a crash and fleeing from police. it happened at airport road and race street. the police located the car just before 2:00 this afternoon at bridge and front streets. they tried to speak with the driver but he took off crashing to a building before being arrested. police in radnor township are hoping a bank robber's outfit could help them make an arrest. two men robbed the bank in wayne this morning. one showed a gun but no employees or customers were

hurt. police are hoping that someone will recognize one of the robbers because of his shoes, high socks and gray jogging outfit. the township is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. arson is suspected in this fire in west gloucester county. the fire broke out just after 7:00 at edge water avenue. the building used to house a printing company but it has been vacant for years. a seventh student surrendered to face sex crime charges in a central jersey hazing scandal that involves members of the sayreville war memorial football team. freshmen team members were hazed by upper classmen. some of the attackser allegedly sexual. the defendants range from 15 to 17 years old. the football season has been cancelled. a drug bust in burks county after police found cocaine

hidden in an xbox. police say the drugs were mailed to pennsylvania from the demean can republic. officers followed the shipment to redding and made four arrests. the cocaine was worth more than $100,000. more signs of trouble for markets in our area. two stores are closing doors. they are both in bucks county. nbc 10 looks at the impact on shoppers, workers and the neighborhoods. >> reporter: empty parking lots cited as a reason for the closures, two local stores affected. they will be shuttering the doors a week before thanksgiving. this acme store front parking lot empty. >> never super packed. >> reporter: shoppers not much

surprised by the announcement but annoyed. >> it's right down the street. it's convenient. >> reporter: this is the second time this year that they closed a round of stores. the grocery chain says they were not meeting company goals which means about 130 employee will have to transfer to another location. >> some are getting transferred. >> reporter: at the pizza shop next door the owner says that the shopping complex is now on edge. >> very different to see that part of the center just empty. >> never a good thing when people are closing down facilities. >> reporter: the union rep says competition from places like wal-mart and target are partially to blame and most employees here should be able to find work at another acme location. >> when you move more than 100 people into other stores, in a declining base of stores, you're going so to have an impact.

>> reporter: acme corporate has no plans to close other stores. they are expanding some to include beer cafes. a stolen dog is back in her owner's arms tonight. >> hi, mama. >> chichi was stolen by two men in a burglary in north philadelphia. they were caught walking the dog away from the house along with a television and xbox. a woman came forward to police saying she found the dog but it turned out that was not the right dog. but the owner got another call and this time she was happy to be reunited with her dog and wanted to thank the man who found her pet. >> i couldn't -- i didn't know what to do and i had to lay low. i didn't know if the people who had her were mad enough to hurt her. >> the dog was licking on my son and he wanted to go to sleep

a bizarre crime is taking place in brooklyn, new york. a man is grabbing women by their feet and ripping off their shoes. the cup pretty is targeting victims at subway stop stairs. it has happened seven times already and police are hoping that video will help them make an arrest. new screenings at the busiest airports in the effort to stop ebola. and how volunteers from philadelphia are hoping to save lives a half a world away. we're going to see a cold night ahead leading to a cold start tomorrow morning. i have your eagles forecast, that's all coming up.

now to the latest on the ebola outbreak. new york's jfk airport became the first to screen passengers arriving on flights from west africa. the customs and border patrol released these photos. federal officials say these screenings procedures will add an extra layer of protection against the disease that has killed more than 4,000 people. and next week, stepped up screenings will begin at other major international hubs including washington dulles, chicago o'hare, atlanta's hartsfield-jackson and newark. philadelphia international is not included because there are no flights from west africa.

and people in philadelphia are doing their part to help those affected by the ebola crisis. this church hosted a donation drive today. volunteers collected food and medical supplies to be sent to liberia. >> sickness anywhere is a threat to health everywhere as the continent of africa goes so goes the african dispera. and then as a person of faith wherever there is hurting we have to bring healing. a missionary group is shipping the boxes which leave for liberia on monday. gearing up for the big game. eagles fans have sunday night football on the brain as the birds prepare to take on the giants a it the link tomorrow. nbc 10 got a look at the sunday night football bus. fans lining up to take a tour and snap selfies with their favorite players.

wind speeds out of the north-northeast at 9 miles an hour. and temperatures are continuing to drop. 47 in westchester. not in the 30s in the poconos yet but we expect to drop into the mid-30s tonight. a cold night in atlantic city at 32 degrees. tomorrow morning we're going to stay below average. it's going to be a cold start. keep that in mind. a closer look at the radar, some of the clouds have thinned out. we saw overcast and rainy skies today and a lot of the rainfall associated with that stalled frontal boundary is going to stay to the south of us. we will stay dry tomorrow. high pressure rebuilding but it is going to be a cold night ahead with temperatures dropping to the 40s for philadelphia, the 30s for suburbs to the north and west and in the poconos under a frost advisory from 4:00 a.m. to

8:00 a.m. sunday night clouds return. monday at 5:00 we see a chance of showers in your forecast. same on tuesday. we are entering into an unsettled weather pattern but the temperatures will warm above average for the middle part of the workweek. sunday tomorrow from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. frost advisory for the poconos. if you have sensitive plants, bring them inside. cold in allentown, 39 degrees. 40 in quakertown. 50 degrees for cape may. closer to the city, expect temperatures of 46 degrees and philadelphia 45 in chester. if you are planning to head out for the eagles game tomorrow we are going to see 58 degrees by the time the game starts. as you head home, mid-50s and patchy frost is a possibility north and west. a chance of showers on columbus day. temperatures in the high 70s on tuesday and wednesday.
