"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us over at temple hospital with the latest on this, january,

january, good morning. >> good morning, the man who was killed was cents shot at least ten times. police found 32 spent shell casings on the scene there in north philadelphia. the woman who was sitting next to him at the time of the shooting police say possibly an innocent bystander is now at temple university hospital being treated. fortunately for her, she in stable condition this morning. and now, police search for surveillance video in hopes of identifying a suspect, in this shooting. now there is all happened around 11:30 lags night, on the 2100 block of uber street in stanton, when police arrived, they found two shooting victims, 24 year old man, and 46 year old woman, the man had collapsed on the sidewalk, shot about ten times. police say he was the intended target. nearby on her front steps was cents a woman shot in the leg. police say she could be an innocent victim. witnesses tell police the pair was sitting on the steps, when two men in hooded sweatshirts approached the shot. the woman again is in stable condition here at temple. the man was also taken to

temple where he later died. >> based on balistic evidence, woe know that at least 32 shots were fired from two separate caliber semiautomatic weapons, we found 32 spent shell casings on the street and many on the sidewalk right near the steps where these two victims were sitting when they were shot. >> now, police have not yet identified the victims. they say they lived in separate apartments, in the same building, but their relationship beyond that is unknown. as far as the motive for shooting goes, that's unknown, as well, and very little is known about the shooting suspects, again, they will be looking at surveillance video to try to determine who these people are. they're only known as two men, in dark hooded wet shirts, that fled the scene, going north on 19th street. reporting live outside of temple university hospital. jan, thank you. following breaking news in holmesburg. we have a live picture right here as firefighters remain on the scene after house fire,

this is on the 4700 block of vista street. that fire broke out just after 4:00 this morning. we're told everyone in the house was able to escape before firefighters arrived. however, the deputy chief has requested three medic aoun to its that scene. our crew is on that scene, they are gathering more information, and will bring it to you as soon as is it comes no our news rom. well, there is also breaking news in the ebola outbreak. we have learned united making worker who contracted ebola in liberia has died at a german hospital. and, we know now 70 staffers at texas health presbyterian hospital treated thomas eric duncan, among them, 26 year old nurse, nina pham first person infected in the u.s. in isolation with a fever since friday. officials blame a breach of protocol possibly involving the removal of protective gear. also a medicining in isolation at the university of kansas hospital with a fever and other serious symptoms. he had been taking care of patients on a ship off the

police collected more than 30 shell casings, from a shooting scene at 21st and uber streets in north philly. one man was kill, a woman injured becomes 11:30, last night. so far no arrests cents. and some breaking news, a 56 year old un worker has died from ebola in germany, where he was moved five days ago. meanwhile, this dallas nurse with ebola has cents been treated when lasts from in ebola survivor, another ebola victim g held in isolation at a kansas city hospital. new this morning, for the first time in over three years, new jersey governor chris christie has negative rating. the new rutgers eagleton pole shows 45% of registered voters have an unfavorable view of the governor. 42% give him a favorable rating, favorability has dropped seven points in two months. >> if you have not registered to vote in next month's election, today is the deadline in new jersey, you can sign up at your local county clerk's office. we put the application on our

website, that's cbsphilly.com. the deadlines have already passed, to register to vote in both pennsylvania and delaware. right now, it is 5:43, we want your traffic and weather together. wider look at the eastern part of the country, katy? >> certainly are. dealing of course with very significant storm system, one that spans anywhere from the great lakes all the way down to the gulf of mexico. this storm system is what's going to eventually bring us our next round of heavy rain, here in the delaware valley. but we've seen an incredible amount of storm reports, out of this. they extend all the way again from the gulf states, back into the planes, down to the deep south here, in the gulf states, and i mean you have everything from gusty winds, flooding, tornados, and we want to take you through couple of these more locally through the panhandle of florida you can still see some really heavy thunderstorms, firing up here, between pensicolla and panama sit there. have been few reports of tornados, and certainly, the damage that comes along with that, specifically, in sumatra in florida here, just one

report obviously, but an example where trees came down, roof blown off, a shed in the vicinity of sumantra. so we continue to see i think a lot of reports here, storm reports, as the day progresses across the deep south. back here at home, we are spec to go see generally dry day, 66 degrees, is our current temperature at the airport, a very mild 68 in reading, we take you all the way down here to birmingham, actually basically on par with the deep south right now, 75 degrees, currently in charleston. as the day goes on, we expect those temperatures to easily climb. real quick check for you on gonzalo, expected to achieve hurricane status before it likely at least comes in very close contact with bermuda a so we have to keep an eye on the tropics. gonzalo currently hurricane. morning starting off with little bit of fog out there, generally from philadelphia on north and west, 79 degrees our expected high tonight, we drop it down to 65. with clouds, beginning to thicken, and i could see shower to the north and west. and as the day goes on, expect the high to hit 79 degrees,

>> fire in the holmesburg section, that fire reported after 4:00 a.m. 4700 block of vista street. firefighter being treated for smoke inhalation. firefighters say they had to deal with a lot of debris inside that home. once again the fire is under control. one firefighter is being treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation. also, in the news, developing right now, police are investigating a deadly shooting in north philly. >> investigators tell "eyewitness news", two gunmen unloaded more than 30 shots killing a man and injuring a woman in the 2100 block of uber street.
