basically telling students to stay home. what that means is you're paying 60 -- $6000 tuition basically for resume calls here at nyu overnight there were more than 100 people arrested. i see people and not students because it's not clear how many of those arrested were actually students. some of their ages in the high twenties level -- low thirties. obviously not college undergraduates. as well as calexico, some of these slogans are really distasteful unsettling and really create a fear for safety especially the one we are all hamas. about of course if your organization that killed 1200 people in israel on october 7th and the critics of this movement say it really shows an ignorance of history. >> they need to maintain the order and to assert their authority and say this is a university. we do not do this here. you people are ignoring. go to the library if your students and read about what happened in the holocaust.

you can't have this kind of writing and violent acts against or harassment are this commission against jewish groups on his campuses, you can have school officials who aren't protecting the students. those are all violations of federal law and, you know, the universities don't able or capable of addressing this and so we are asking the biden administration to -- and a department of medication to take action and the justice department to take action. anything they can due credit apartment a medication can do very quickly is, you know, take a way funds for schools that aren't following the l law. >> martha: senator, right also your colleague senator captain mentioned the interaction act. is that something is applicable here? >> i think that any of these federal statutes and i believe it is and by the way you have time cotton -- i give to god and a lot of credit for initiating this because clearly something had to be done, these universities others that are incapable of addressing what is a question under campuses and something that continues to just escalate and get further and further out of control.

leaders behind this movement, this -- their succeeding grandmother putting pressure on the administration to curb israel's military behaviour. and that is what they want and it is actually happening right before our eyes. it is absolutely -- i'm never seen anything quite like it for an ally as close as israel's is to us, to have this kind of shameful behaviour. and as a result of it we've got demonstrations showing up and growing in the united states in support of the very enemy that is espousing to destroy the state of israel and kill as many jews as they can. >> charles: general kane i said early october right after the barbaric invasion and brutal massacre and it was pretty clear what -- the only game plan that hamas had was to become sympathetic with the world's and they used churches -- not churches

i think people do want to know if you are going to leave it up to the states, what would you do if you were voting in a referendum or if you were a member of the legislature, and republicans are on solid ground i think if they say something along the lines of, if i were doing this at a state level, i think 15 or 16 weeks is a reasonable period to allow when a woman to seek an abortion and after that point, three exceptions, rape, incest, life of the mother, parents should be involved in the decisions of their daughters, and it is a morally dangerous thing for us to be engaged in. i think whether you agree with them or not, they would have a position that would be defensible and sound reasonable to the vast majority of people who might be inclined to vote for a republican for president. >> charles: karl, earlier today come outside of a court, former president trump had some comments on this anti-israel
