>> thank you, mr. speaker. yesterday, being a horrific act of violence four law enforcement officers were killed in charlotte and four more were injured as the u.s. marshal regional fugitive task force sought to serve a warrant on a dangerous person. i rise on behalf of representative adams who is standing with the community following this tragic event. i ask my colleagues to join us in a moment of silence to honor the four law enforcement officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice to keep our community safe and support the four officers who were injured and recognize the courage of the first responders who answered the call on that day.
